coffee dates

He told me to ask him creatively, so I did:
I care about you and feel like you and I will be friends forever. ?

I won him over with my cleverness and he took me out for coffee. We always end up in intense conversations by bringing up taboo topics about the church. So as I got to sip away at the stack of whipped cream with cinnamon sprinkles, our opinions and beliefs were all out there for both of us to see. I'm in love with heart to heart talks especially when they involve God.

One of the great things about Harding is that people care. They genuinely want to know more, want to dig deeper. It's nice to go to coffee shops and spill your spiritual guts to someone as they spill theirs to you. It's also nice when the gut spilling may lead to a disagreement but it doesn't have to be argued.

We cherished the moments when we realized how God impacted our lives over and over. We shared stories of inspiring lives out of books that we have been reading, lives that have changed the world in the most humble of ways. Looking back, I see God's hand directing my life for Him, taking me away from the bad that I surrounded myself with.

Whipped cream works miracles and coffee dates with your best friend are the best.

Stay tuned for the date post. It's coming.
