valentine

Being single on Valentines Day just meant I could focus on loving many people instead of just one.

The most wonderful man I know sent roses to my dorm, my Valentine sent me the sweetest letter in the mail, and Jesus always wraps his lovely arms around me while I walk around campus. I consider myself blessed because I feel this love every day. This years celebration of love was the best I have ever had.

I tentatively stepped out of my dorm because the separation between my bed and I has become too much to bear this week. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, a guy was waiting for me, ready to walk me to class. He left a note for me to read when I was alone and all day I found myself rushing class to seclude myself from the world. The words he wrote caused a few tears to fall because he means so much to me. Two more letters were sent to me in the mail along with the roses and the same guy chivalrously walking me to each class. At the end of the day, he told me he wanted to prove his love to me (as a friend) and constantly show me how I deserve to be treated. Thank the good Lord real men exist in this world because sometimes I doubt their presence.

I hope that Valentines Day has been fantastic for everyone. If you are one of those people that had a wonderful guy in your life on the day of love, I hope he treated you like a princess. If you are single, I hope you understand Jesus will give you so much more than what you saw other girls getting yesterday.

p.s. if you are in a relationship, don't text someone else telling them you still love them. dumb boys!
