When I was packing up my belongings for college, I was headed off to get a degree in exercise science so that I could get into PT school. Then I briefly changed my major to dietetics because my interest in food and the way it interacts with the body became higher than working with muscular systems. Now I have changed my major yet again. I had one of those "soul searching" sessions where I considered every possible career a person could have until I realized "Haley, you want to be a Child Life Specialist." And so I looked up everything the career had to do with, and fell in love.
This may be the only love story you guys ever get to hear from me. A story where the girl falls in love with her career so much that she won't ever get married and then ends up with a million cats. Since I'm allergic to cats, I won't even have the cats to keep me company.
I would be the person you see in the hospital being a "new best friend" to the kid diagnosed with leukemia. I would be the person to help explain the situation and disease that will become a part of that families life. And I would be the person who becomes the super hero and helps the family cope. Guys, I don't even consider this a job, I consider it doing something I love. I'll add a minor in psychology just because I absolutely adore the field of psychology and in a few years, I'll be graduating college.
That's my life plan, guys! Get a job and die alone.
Ok so first off... I just read a whole month and a half worth of your posts. You are a great writer, and I just love how you talk about real life stuff. :) I just couldn't stop reading them.
