thankful for thanksgiving

It went by fast. Way too fast. 

This is my last Thanksgiving break as a high school student. And once December rolls around, Christmas break will soon be over too. It’s bittersweet and I'm not sure if I like it. As much as I will proudly tell everyone how much I am ready for college and ready to move out there is this other side that doesn’t want to give up high school.

My senior year has been amazing, the most amazing year of all the years I have ever lived. I just wish it would go by a little slower. I’m going to miss this little town and how close everyone is. I’m going to miss getting to see some of my favorite people five days a week. I guess it's time to grow up a little bit even though I'd rather stay forever young.

And since it's Thanksgiving, everyone should know how thankful I am to have the life I do. I'm so blessed.

1.  My family; they love me a little too much. But that's okay, because all their love makes me smile on those days when I have no one but them.

2. My best friends; Lindsey & Jordan are the kind of friends that always make me laugh and always have my back. I have some of the best friends a girl could ever ask for.

3. My house; I just recently got hit by a tornado. It has completely changed how I view life and everything in this crazy world. I am thankful for my roof. I am thankful for my bed. I am thankful for my house and everything in it. Being displaced for three months has a huge impact on a person’s attitude, an extremely huge impact.

4. My guy friends; I am friends with at least a 100 times more guys than girls. I have guys that’ll sing me to sleep when I want someone to talk to. I have guys that I could tell everything to and not be judged. I have guys that would drop everything they were doing just to pick up the phone if I was in trouble. I got my guys, and they make all of my days in this world worth living for
5. My life; I am alive. Breathing is always good, and I am glad my God lets me breathe even though none of us deserve to.

Thanksgiving is such a great holiday.
