missions | seeking the abused

I am drawn to girls that have gone through abusive situations or relationships at any point in their lives. I desperately want to show these girls that the pain can be overcome, I want them to become women of God who seek to help others that know the same pain. There is so much anger and bitterness inside of me because of what has happened in my past, but being able to help the girls in this community makes every ounce of pain worth it.

Be willing to spread joy because some people go through so much pain they forget joy even exists. The good Lord has blessed me with resilience and my recovery has been easier than others that I have talked to with similar circumstances. I absolutely love working with people that have been through abusive situations. I love being able to give others hope and a screenshot of what their future can look like. Many times I have thought of becoming a social work major, what happened to me forced me to reach out to others. In time that reaching out became more community-focused and I found out my God-given talents.

I feel that I am called to seek the abused, and so I do.
