closing ceremonies
It was so sly. It was the night of our last closing ceremony and all the counselors were at a loss for words. The time went by so quickly, had it really been months since we first arrived? It approached us with the countdown to our last second with our current campers.
There were a lot of tears among the crowd of people that sat on the logs in front of the burning cross. Jesus' death was told from the top of the mountain, the story tellers voice rang with sorrow. We sang gospel songs while the stars slowly multiplied above our heads. This was it. This was the end.
Sometimes life gives you one of the best experiences it has to offer and then brings you to the end faster than you really wanted. Now I am on to another amazing experience, being a sophomore in college. After my fall semester is over I will be in Greece for a semester. Then another summer of amazing experiences.
This is my RA for college and also my best friend. I love her with my whole heart.
