interviews and jobs

I had made terrific plans for this summer & God closed every door that I wanted to stay open.

Getting ahead in my area of study meant working on my field experience binder this summer. I had two different child care programs that I was told I had a good chance of getting. I also applied to some retail stores in hopes that I would at least get an interview. Nothing.

Well a Skype date led to an interview and the interview led to a job. As of yesterday, I was officially hired to work for a camp that lets me love on children for ten whole weeks. I had a dancing party with some of my friends online but the happiness still isn't out of my system. Part of me was starting to question God but His plans did not match up with my plans. I believe this is where I was meant to be this summer and I believe that I will be able to make more of an impact at that camp than I would in this town. I'm ready go to change some lives!

So for ten weeks I will be gone.. & I'm afraid of how lonely my blog will get. I have some scheduled fashion posts and I am hoping to pre write so many posts that you guys will not even realize I left my computer for that amount of time. Also, I am hoping for some people to share their stories and struggles occasionally. I have two days of break time after eleven days on the job so I will be devoted to keeping you guys updated. I'm sure I will drown y'all with pictures of kids that have tugged on my heart strings.

I start on the 27th for training, then I go to Dallas for a little getaway, then I go for some more training and the camp sessions begin.
