awkward

Totally awkward. Just totally awkward.

So this guy is really persistent on making me his girlfriend and I'm still trying to figure everything out. We were sitting on a bench next to the student center talking about our day while eating ice cream. The conversation wiggled itself around and the topic of "dating" comes about. Ewwww. So being me, I completely avoided his question and started rambling about something else.

One of my older friends comes up to the ice cream convo and asks a question of her own.

"Hey Haley, how's that one guy back home? Are you guys getting even more serious? Not that you could, but whatever."

Maybe I should start updating my friends on main events in my life that happened over Christmas break so stuff like this doesn't get brought up. In the moment all I could think was "a;kjfeoi;afajew;ofj" so I made the situation awkward by letting words come out of my mouth. I tried to choke it back but it ended up being a disconnected, lengthy, mumbled phrase.

My voice cracked and I'm a girl. I just don't respond well to topics I try to avoid.
