This happened to be one of those events where I brought my body pillow and blanky. With my intense fear of needles, the IV didn't sound too pleasant. I'm so glad they make "before" pills for people like me that get severe anxiety for simple surgeries. That pill turned out be my best friend.
Right now, I look like I do in that last picture. The picture with a wrap around my head and two cheeks that are filled with gauze and all sorts of numbing cream. As much as I worked myself up about not wanting to have surgery, it really wasn't that bad at all. I had no idea anything had happened and when I woke up, I was ready to leave and eat some burger king. Too bad I'm stuck with apple sauce and ice cream for these first few days, though.
I am hoping that this whole recovery thing goes by fast, so I can get back to my life. I'm not one that enjoys to sit around when I know I have so much stuff to do. If you could, just cross those fingers of yours that everything continues to go well!
you poor thing!! I got my wisdom teeth taken out like 4 years ago and it was sooo painful afterwards! I couldn't open my mouth or eat bread for like two weeks -_- wishing you a speedy recovery <3
ReplyDeleteYeah, right after this post I ended up getting really nauseated and passing out over the throw up bucket. I think I thought I was okay, and then once I ate it turned out really bad. I hope I have a speedy recover too, though! Thanks Rach! :)
DeleteI'm sorry, hun. I hope you feel better soon. Fabulous post, love. If you get a sec, I'd love to hear what you think of my new maxi. xo

Oh no! I hope your recovery comes along well. I have to get mine pulled soon and I'm not looki g forward to it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sure you will be fine! My recovery hasn't been too bad so far I've already gone through the worst of it!
DeleteEek! I think I need those pills too. When I was in high school I thought I was brave enough to donate blood...and then passed out when they pricked my finger. My 1st wisdom tooth is just coming in, and I haven't been to the dentist because I'm afraid he'll wanna pull it. My theory is that I'll let it come in partway as long as I can't see it's moving my other teeth around, and THEN I go to Mr. Dentist to finish getting that sucker out...only if absolutely necessary. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWell I think that's a great idea!! I understand wanting to procrastinate, just make sure you give yourself a LOT of free time to recover when you think about scheduling surgery! You'll need to be able to relax for at least one whole week without getting back to normal life. The pills were great. I couldn't of done the surgery without them!
DeleteWisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that most people get during their teens or early twenties. Sometimes, these teeth are a valuable asset to the mouth, but, sometimes they are often misaligned that require removal. Now a days, there are many experienced dental
ReplyDeleteimplant surgeons, that provide the treatment of wisdom teeth removals.
