It was Valentines day and we both had our alarms set so that an annoying sound would wake us up early in the morning. For two weeks, we spent hours and hours advertising for a Facebook competition that had given us the opportunity to win our venue for free. It was to be announced the morning of February 14th and as soon as our engagement picture flashed on their website, we called each other screaming. We won. I cried, no denying that.

My incredibly talented cousin took it upon herself to make this chalkboard look one hundred times better than I had ever imagined it would be. Kudos to the cool chick that pulled this off, because God sure didn't give me the talent of working with chalk.

The bouquet was flawless. The cake was wonderful. Everything was classy and pretty and better than what I had envisioned in the first place. I feel like you don't hear many brides say that, either. At the end of the night, I was pleased. Mainly because the guy I was sitting next to was my husband but the wedding was pretty great, too.
Next post is all about the ceremony + soon I will be posting more on JORD watches!
