coffee shop date

I walked in and saw her sitting near the window. It had been years since I had seen her, we had both grown up and now went to the same University. When I was younger we used to compete in ice skating together and challenged each other to workouts in the ballet room. I missed the effortless conversations about boys and junior high drama, now we were stuck on the topics of jobs, classes, preparing for our careers, and how busy we were all the time.

The minor topics turned serious and we both learned so much about each other. It was so nice to catch up with a bestie from my childhood! I have such a talented best friend, a model who is a pre-PA at Harding.

Such a cool coffee shop on the corner of campus. I got to take pictures while we were talking and I always get excited when someone gives me the chance to pull out my camera. She is letting me take pictures of her for her modeling career and I am really excited about that!

Catching up with an old friend is the best.

  2. oh yay! Can't wait to see the pics! and that's awesome you got to catch up with an old best friend. I've often wondered what that would be like - some friends just change too much though :(

    1. I agree :( Some friends do change. I hate it. But it makes us thankful for the ones that don't!
