only hope

There is a melody I long to connect with words.

I lay awake in the cold that is forever next to you while I listen to the tune that drowns out my sorrows. A secret love fills my heart and sings the song of eternity. The galaxy above is dancing over our heads while we dream of the beat it dances to. We watch the stars dance around our heads and hear them whisper sentiments of love. Our only hope is to listen to the voices of the stars. We can make this into love.

My eyes cannot close as I lay beside you because I do not want to miss a moment. The moon above the field positions hope next to my heart as I watch its light destroy the darkness. The gloomy night hides from where we are.

So now I will sing the melody I have connected with words. A melody of a found love and a new beginning. A song full of joy and adventure, two sets of brightly painted eyes ready to be with each other. For so long my words have been mixed with hopelessness and melancholic thoughts. The situation of what used to be can no longer control me, I am singing a new song. My only hope is to let it go.
