I worked with the 5-7 year old children at camp. At five I was free to hang out with whichever age group I wanted and do work around the camp. I stayed in a cabin as a staff member with 11 and 12 year old girls so I got to watch them while the counselor took a shower. We stayed up late talking about the bits of wisdom in Proverbs.
I miss the nicknames they had for me and I miss the late night bible talks. Loved those girls!
Freedom at night meant capture the flag with the older girls and their counselors. It's intense here at Wyldewood, intense enough that sitting in a patch of chiggers makes winning worth it.
First session was a success.
Being a camp counselor is the best. You know you had such a huge impact on those young girls, and they'll always remember you!
