sunshine to my soul

My soul has been smiling a lot lately.

It might be because of the cute Knights guy at Harding that does adorable stuff and accepts me (weirdness included).

It might even be all the hugs I get on campus because I'm lucky enough to study at a place with a bunch of great people.

Or it might be the love I receive or how blessed I feel.

These past few months, I have found my real friends. The kind that look beyond my happiness and see all the tears welling up inside. My friends that will leave Starbucks to sit down with me in another room and let me cry. The kind who tickle me just to hear me laugh and see me smile again. When I have felt as though I am sitting on the level of "rock bottom," I have found the people who are willing to help me up. Yes, I am blessed. I have been able to weed out the people who honestly don't care about me and pull the ones who do, closer. It's been such an awesome journey because I am loved.

Some people say they don't understand me, and that is okay. Because I have people that do understand this pain and try to keep digging deeper until the source is found. My friends help destroy what's causing all this pain and I love them so much for that. They don't make me feel stupid for letting my emotions take over, they comfort me instead of give me advice. I get so much encouragement and it brings sunshine to my soul.

This post is a positive one. I am so loved, and so blessed.
