halloween back home

And we were off, headed toward my home to pass out candy to a lot of little trick or treaters. Being in town wasn't the best feeling in the world because there was a bad memory connected to everywhere I looked. But it's okay because I got to see some faces that I haven't seen in way too long.

My friends from Harding met my parents and everyone fell in love with each other. It was great having two of my favorite groups of people get along so well. We made cookies, played with babies, and handed out a million and one pieces of candy by a burning fire. It was a great night full of a lot of emotion. Despite my ramblings on sadness, I am blessed. I am so, so blessed. I have so many people that care for me and love me and would do anything to see me truly happy again. My parents are both inspiring people that have made me who I am and I must say, they did a pretty good job. Sometimes, I just have to sit in the middle of a room and smile because I am surrounded by some incredible people in my life.

And ignore my momentary design for this blog, I decided I wanted something different but I did not get to finish it. So my blog sits half-done, and I'm not sure if I'm going to use that title or not.

I missed my family. I missed their hugs. I missed their smiles and encouraging words.
