I walked in the room and a bunch of little arms came flying toward me as I heard screams of "Hawey my friennnnnd!" My heart feels the most content when I have two of my favorite children hugging my legs, and a bunch of other children pulling me every direction possible. My child care director smiled, laughed, and said "We missed you, Haley."
It was nice to be back.
I can't help but love my life when I'm surrounded by precious kids. Nothing compares to being remembered after a year of not visiting by a 4 year old. Making an impression on children's lives is what I want to do for the rest of my life and I can't wait to become a child life specialist.
The little girl to my left is Maddie. She's a four year old who considers herself to be a big girl just like me because she's going to college next year, too. Precious child. When I'd walk away, she would hug me and tell me if I left she would miss me thiiiiiiiiis much (as she stretched out her arms till she turned blue). I miss the innocence of my childhood where everything was easy, I guess that's why I like being surrounded by children because I can pretend like I'm one of them again.
I had some kick awesome child care kids.
