the maxi solution (for my closet)

I've come to realize by walking around campus that my closet isn't as complete as I would like it to be. A jacket here, a shirt there, but no maxi dress or long African designed skirt. Here at Harding it's easy to see the cultural influences that envelop most everyone's wardrobe. When a girl goes to Africa to help the children that live in the Haven, she comes back with an awesome collection of skirts (pants are not "socially allowed" because they are considered immodest and sexual, so girls wear skirts over there). When a guy goes over to Greece, he usually comes back with a face full of facial hair and awesome sandals from the famous sandal maker.

All of these unique styles make me want to get a long dress or skirt to go with Jesus sandals. I found some bold-patterned maxi dresses here, and now the obsession with long dresses begins.

Before I head off to Africa in a few summers I am stocking up on awesome African-acceptable fashion. Before I head off to Greece (Fall 2013!), I'm going to make sure I have enough money to get a butt load of Jesus sandals and Greece fashion items.

I feel like an uncultured loser with my anti skirt/maxi dress outfit selection.
