It was one of those "everything is tax free" days when I was kidnapped and held hostage. The people who captured me forced me to eat homemade cinnamon rolls and pancakes at a local cafe. They made me go shopping in Little Rock, where they spent some money for some college clothes that just happened to be my size.
I had it rough, let me tell you. It is a scary situation to be in, the situation of my own parents being forced to kidnap their child because I am too busy to slow down and spend some time with them. Quality time is just too much time for me, I'm always somewhere doing something. I like my busy lifestyle, but sometimes I need days where people can make me stop and smell the roses (or the smell of new shoes..).
And yes, I did get a pair of new shoes for all who know how big my expanding shoe collection is.
Thanks to this day, my new favorite restaurant is now Copeland's, a place of tasty burgers and thinly sliced onion rings. My stomach was living large off of the great food I had put in it. I really do love my parents and I am very thankful I was held hostage, because I desperately needed to spend time with them. College starts this Thursday so until then I will be wearing water proof mascara.
Bring on the tears. I'm about to leave everything in this town behind.
