2011 only made me stronger

It's the last day of the year 2011 and my facebook and twitter won't let me forget it.

This year has been one emotional rollercoaster, for sure. 

a. Tornado 

In April, I had one of the most terrifying, death threatening two minutes a person could ever have. And in a laundry room, at that. My house was destroyed and thank the good Lord it was. Seriously, I praise God for that time in my life. What happened happened for a reason that I couldn't understand at the time. 

God is working. Every second of every day. 

b. Senior Year

On August 15th, I stepped foot in Vilonia High School's gym. It was my last first day of high school.
The first semester has completely flown by and I am very thankful it has! 

I have great friends now. Something I didn't know I was missing until this year. 

Graduation is in May. I will cry tears of joy on that day.

c. Mistakes

I'm a pro, you know. I guess it's what makes me human. No matter the number of regrets I have (and there are over "just a few") I know that it was the trials, tests, and failures that has made me into the person I am. A year ago, I was completely different. 2011 has changed me for the better, I do believe. 

d. College

I'm a Harding Bison as of August 2012. And I'm the proudest one at that. The battle between what college I'm going to is over and I am so ready for my freshman year to begin. Bring it on, Harding University. 

I'm made strong by God. Not the year.
